This is a test page for the YouAtNotes Namepicker XPage component, which is a dialog in which a user can search for Notes names, and add them to a field.

Some standard field:
A names field:	(multiple names, field grayed out, no manual input)
Some other field:
Another names field:	(one name only)

Licence information

This version of the component has a GPL licence. That means: You are free to use it in your own software, as long as your own software is totally free, too.

Supported browsers at this time: Internet Explorer 7 and 8, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4 and Opera.
Internet Explorer 6 will never be supported.
The addressbook used in this demo is based on Jake Howlett's fake address book. Thank you, Jake!

Features:

Looks and works similar to other popular namepickers like in Facebook or Xing.
User gives the start of a first or lastname, hits enter and select one name out of a list of found names.
If the user adds a name which is already in the list, the name in the list glows up.
The component is customizable in terms of texts, stylesheet and database to search in.
In the result list, the line below the name is customizable via formula. You can display phone number, country, city, mailaddress - anything you like.
You can use the Namepicker on multiple fields on your XPage. You can decide for each field if the Namepicker should allow one or mutiple names.
The Namepicker dialog places itself automatically near the button from which is was called.
keyboard support, you can cycle through the result list with up/down, you can close the result list with escape, you can remove names from the list with backspace.
